Spending time during the summer at my Gramma Mary’s house was always a good time. She would let my brother and I “help” her plant cucumbers, melons, etc. in the field. We would watch the fruits of our labor grow and pick them when fully grown. She was so patience with us teaching us how to have a successful crop. This scent captures the essence of how it feels to relax on a hot LowCountry Summer’s Day with a glass of iced water and a bowl of sliced cucumbers or sweet melons picked fresh from the field.
